Facing Fears

Facing Fears

Anxiety can make everyday feel scary & it can make it really difficult to face our fears.

While on vacation recently, my husband mentioned that he really wanted to hike the Precipice trail in Acadia. This hike involves steep edges, a bit of climbing & iron rungs up the side of the mountain.

Not going to lie..I was terrified and spent more than a few nights watching videos on the hike & picturing every worse case scenario. I wasn’t sure if i was going to tackle this hike or not.

When the day came..I decided to hike it. I knew that I could and that I would be happy that I did.

With my husband cheering me on, I faced the drop-offs and climbed the ladders.

And when I got to the top-the view was more beautiful than I ever imagined.

I share this story because you might not be facing a literal cliff edge but we all have something that we want to do that scares us. We all doubt our abilities and get stuck on the worst case scenarios sometimes.

So whether today you are doubting starting that business, worrying about the future, or facing a literal cliff edge-I believe in you & just know that when we face our fears the view can be more beautiful than we ever imagined.
